New pics!

I'm updating my marketing images, and here are two of my new portraits.

For nearly six years, my day job has been in the portrait photography industry. I'm a firm believer that the way you present yourself in your marketing materials helps to establish your professionalism in the eyes of the beholder. Everyone needs a touch of digital artwork to make them look their best--and it's cheaper than plastic surgery. But for the love of all goodness, please, please don't go all glamour shots on us. Hey, I've been around for a few decades, and I've earned my laugh lines. I'm keeping them in my images.

My new images were done by my friend Pauline Fortuna of Fat Tuna Photography.

I noticed your new profile shot on my comments.
I think they're gorgeous!
I like the top one best.

Although, I like your foot peeking out in the bottom one. :)

Were those done in a studio? They look like they are outdoors.

Thanks for the kind words, Kay. The photo session was at a park in town.

Looks great, Megan! Want to come set up some shots for me? I'm sooo unphotogenic... *sigh*

Great pix! Love 'em.

Lookin' good!
I like the second one the best--has more personality, I think, like you were caught hiding with a book.

I like them both! I don't see a lot of glamour shots lately, and I am very thankful. :-)

Lookin' good, girl!
I like both shots and can see using them both for different purposes.
BTW, you are so photogenic!

Thanks. You're all sweet.

And Jenny--photogenic? No. But that's the value of a good photographer and digital artist.

Gorgeous, gal! Looking good! I'm with Heather. I like the second one best. Shows more of your personality. :)

Wish I could pull shots like those off without looking like a teenager. It'll serve me well in my older years, but looking so young now isn't helping my marketing image. Folks never believe I'm over 30. (sigh)

I love them, Megan! I also agree that we don't want to change the way we look, jsut present the BEST us. :o)

I've seen authors' photos on books where they look great, then when I met the author, it's obvious the photo is at least 20 years old. I don't want to do that.

But after seeing how great yours look (I love smile lines) I'm going to make an appointment.
