Language, sweet language . . .

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm addicted to words and their usage. This morning I was checking the weather forecast and had to chuckle because in all the years I've been reading weather forecasts most of the terminology has said, "mostly sunny." This morning it read, "mainly sunny."
So, what do you think? Do you think there's a new web editor at the weather channel? Someone who's a rebel and wants to shake things up?

I love it.

There, now you know it doesn't take much to tickle my fancy.

ROTFL. Yes, I like *mainly* better than mostly.

No, that is definetely funny. He/she's probably bored with the mostly sunny definition too... or maybe mainly sunny is the term in between partly sunny and mostly sunny.

Maybe :)

Glass half full or half empty? Partly drained? Progressively filled?

"Mainly sunny" is much better than the ever-depressing "partly cloudy" or "overcast". Like a 20% chance of rain, it is their tricky way of saying that if there are clouds, you can't blame them for not telling you, but they won't be too big.

I just finished reading Searching for Spice (had to have my secular bookstore order it for me, so I was a few weeks behind to begin). I liked it. :-)
