I spent six years on the Central Coast of California, and walking the beach was always a treat. As a kid, I went clamdigging with my uncle until they made the area a clam preserve. Hmmm. Clam preserves. A new taste sensation.
I miss water. I grew up two miles from Lake Michigan and went to the beach everyday. I love the mountains of Colorado but the sound of waves on the beach is delicious.
